Amazon Echo Spot – alarm clock 2.0

Amazon Echo Spot the smart alarm that your bedroom needs.

The last product added to the Amazon/Alexa  family is Echo Spot, which is a smart alarm clock that can play music, tell you the weather or be used even for video calling between Amazon devices, or a phone that has the Alexa app installed.

This means Amazon is going to become a contender amongst video call services such as Viber or Skype, to name a few.

The Echo Spot offers the Echo Show functionality but in a minimalistic design composed of a small crisp screen with a brightness of 250 nits, and a camera. Mixed with the Alexa AI, everything you would need from Echo is at a voice command away, right in your bedroom.

Echo Spot is about 10 cm across and it weighs only 420 g, uses the Alexa App which is compatible with Fire OS, Android and iOS. You might need a subscription for certain separate services that Alexa is able to use.

This device uses a WiFi connection with 802.11a/b/g/n dual band support and has integrated bluetooth for pairing with an external audio device, such as your TV soundbar. It also has audio-out support through a 3,5 mm jack that isn’t included in the package.

Echo Spot retails at 129.99 USD and you can buy it from here.
